During this program, Mingyur Rinpoche will offer deeply contemplative and experiential teachings on Shantideva’s quintessential text The Way of the Bodhisattva (Bodhisattvacaryāvatāra). The Way of the Bodhisattva is one of the most widely studied and practiced texts within the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, providing a foundation in regard to topics such as bodhichitta, ethics, meditation, loving-kindness and compassion, and wisdom. In his characteristically relatable way, Mingyur Rinpoche will bring this text to life, helping you incorporate its profound teachings into your everyday life. This program is an essential component within our annual transmission, focused this year on The Way of the Bodhisattva. There are no requirements for participation in this program. This program is open to everyone.

Path of Liberation Levels 3 and 4 with Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche

At the core of the Mahamudra and Dzogchen practice systems are profound methods for recognizing one’s nature of mind. These approaches, as well as the essence of the Middle Way, constitute the heart of Mingyur Rinpoche’s teachings in the Path of Liberation training series. In this program, Mingyur Rinpoche will provide quintessential instructions on recognizing the nature of mind, drawing inspiration from all these traditions. Additionally, you will receive instructions on the preliminary practices associated with the relevant Path of Liberation levels. There are prerequisites for attendance at this program.

Asked Questions

Events typically take place over the course of 1 or 2 days, with a total of 1-4 hours’ worth of sessions each day. Retreats typically take place over the course of 3-4 days, with up to a total of 9 hours’ worth of sessions each day. Retreats include teachings, practice sessions, question and answer sessions, and group discussions. The detailed schedule is listed in local time zones on the page for each event and retreat. You can find a video on the importance of retreat here (English only).
Attached are all the prerequisites for all 2021 retreats, in 7 languages. There are prerequisites for attendance at this program.
